Add some bling to your roof
In our high humidity area, copper is our preferred metal for flashings, small standing seam roof areas, and gutter systems.
Here’s one example of TSW Roofing Solutions’ copper work:
We solved the leak issues for the owner of this elegant home by replacing the original bay window roof with 16-oz copper standing seam pans and apron flashings. We fabricated the copper drip edge/lock strip and installed it around the perimeter with copper nails.
For overall long-term leak prevention and enhanced curb appeal, we also replaced the brick wall flashings on the front of the home with 16-oz copper step and counter flashings. Installation included grinding reglets (grooves) into the mortar to receive the flashings, then applying a urethane sealant.
We love copper’s initial shine and bling, but we really appreciate its resistance to corrosion once it develops its protective green patina. Copper is UV resistant, as well, and in coastal areas where damp, salty air is an issue, copper is naturally resistant to salt damage.
